Abstract: In order to check Chargaff Second Parity Rule, we find the strands are asymmetric in human DNA, this breaks the strand symmetry rule. We calculate the ratio between oligonucleotide ATGC and oligonucleotide CGTA, and we compare the sample sequence average ratio ATGC/CGTA and the complementary sequence average ratio ATGC/CGTA. we find evolution degree more bigger, then the strand symmetry deviation will be more bigger. sequence and its complementary strand sequence obviously have two different characters, include physical property, chemical property and biological property. It is very important, base on this asymmetry, we can find some new and special theories in biology to explain how chromosome communicates and works in the future. we also find, both leukemia and breast cancer are weakening the DNA’s asymmetry degree. Here need more research and check, maybe we can find an easy diagnosing method to leukemia and breast cancer, if this result here is right at last, it will benefit to the world.

A Quantitative Study of Nocodazole’S Effect on HeLa Cells’ Growth Rate and F-actin Structure

Abstract: HeLa cells were derived from human cervical cancer, which has been widely used as research model to study mammalian cell functions. In this work, nocodazole, a microtubule destabilizer, was used to treat HeLa cells with different concentrations. The results showed that nocodazole was able to inhibit HeLa cell’s growth rate significantly at the concentration of 100 nM. It suggested that nocodazole may inhibit cell growth through an alternative impacting effect other than destabilizing microtubules, since the effect of nocodazole destabilizing microtubule is usually not seen at micromolar range. However, at nanomolar concentration, nocodazole was not able to induce any changes in F-actin structure. Whereas, at concentration of 1 mM, nocodazole induced significant alterations of F-actin structure in HeLa cells. It indicated the strong relationship between microtubule and actin dynamics. Our work suggested that a molecule may exhibit different impacting mechanisms at different concentrations. Since nocodazole has been used as a chemotherapy reagent in cancer treatment, it will be beneficial to re-evaluate the effective concentration in terms of cancer treatment.

Biofield Energy Treated Vitamin D3: Therapeutic Implication on Bone Health Using Osteoblasts Cells

Abstract: Calcium and vitamin D are the main constituents of bone health, while insufficient level leads to various diseases such as osteoporosis causing significant morbidity and mortality. The objective of the study is to investigate the effect of Consciousness Energy Healing based vitamin D3 and DMEM medium on various bone health parameters in MG-63 cells such as alkaline phosphatase enzyme (ALP) activity, collagen levels and bone mineralization. Both the test items (TI) i.e. vitamin D3 and DMEM medium were divided into two parts. Both the sample received Consciousness Energy Healing Treatment by Mark E Stutheit and those samples were labeled as the Biofield Energy Treated (BT) samples, while the other parts of each sample were denoted as the untreated test items (UT). Cell viability using MTT assay showed that cell viability was more than 85% with safe and nontoxic profile on MG-63 cell line. The level of ALP was significantly increased by 126.1% (at 50 µg/mL), 128.2% (at 50 µg/mL), and 173.7% (at 100 µg/mL) in UT-DMEM+BT-TI, BT-DMEM+UT-TI, and BT-DMEM+BT-TI groups, respectively as compared with the untreated test item and DMEM group. Collagen level was significantly increased by 104.3% (at 10 µg/mL), 104.3% (at 50 µg/mL), and 97.4% (at 50 µg/mL) in UT-DMEM+BT-TI, BT-DMEM+UT-TI, and BT-DMEM+BT-TI groups, respectively as compared with the untreated test item and DMEM group. In addition, the percent of bone mineralization was significantly increased by 82.4%, 118.4%, and 202.4% at 0.1, 1, and 10 µg/mL, respectively in UT-DMEM+BT-TI group, while 158.8%, 197.4%, and 200% at 0.1, 1, and 10 µg/mL, respectively in BT-DMEM+UT-TI group as compared with the untreated group. In addition, BT-DMEM+BT-TI group showed a significant increased bone mineralization by 52.9%, 131.6%, and 235.7% at 0.1, 1, and 10 µg/mL, respectively as compared with the untreated group. Overall, the experimental data suggested that the Biofield Energy Treated vitamin D3 and DMEM would play an important role in the promotion and maintenance of strong and healthy bones, which improve quality of life. Biofield Energy Treatment might be vital in maintaining the various clinical safety and quality of life by assisting them in maintaining optimal vitamin D levels. It regulates the osteoblast function, improves bone mineralization, and calcium absorption in wide range of bone disorders along with wide range of adverse health conditions, comprising cancer and certain autoimmune diseases.
