  • Introduction

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) threatens the effective prevention and treatment of an ever-increasing range of infections caused by bacteria, parasites, viruses and fungi. The over-usage of antibiotics has led emergence of new multi-drug resistant (MDR) bacteria. There are lesser data available on emergence of antibiotic resistance in clinics and environment. Hence, predictions on risk of emergence of new MDR are extremely difficult. Therefore, a better understanding on the prevalence and emergence of MDR a prerequisite. Strengthening global AMR surveillance is critical as it is the basis for informing global strategies, monitoring the effectiveness of public health interventions and detecting new trends and threats. In view of these, the journal invites Original research papers in any aspect of Antimicrobial resistance.

    Aims and Scope:

    1. Epidemiology of antibiotic resistance
    2. Drug resistance profiling
    3. Mechanisms of resistance development
    4. Resistant pathogens in clinics and environment
    5. Early detection of infection,
    6. Proteomic and genomic studies to characterize factors in resistance
    7. Development of potent new candidate materials as antimicrobials
